Our Founders
The Scott Consulting Firm is a dream realized for owners Michael and Melody Scott. They run the company side-by-side and are thankful for the opportunity to help others with their unique skill sets. They welcome you to their website and trust you will find the information you are seeking. Additionally, they hope that you will see the commitment to client that drives this organization and the solutions they can provide, and then trust them enough to engage their Firm to address challenges and opportunities within your organization.
Michael is an Electronics and Electrical Engineer. His work with public utilities for the past twenty years has uniquely prepared him to consult in areas of Homeland Security for utilities as well as day-to-day operations of electric and water companies. In addition to his current responsibilities, he is preparing to launch a dedicated division in 2009.
Melody is a veteran of the healthcare and technology industries. Holding a Masters degree, an MBA and a Ph.D., Melody is well-qualified to provide advice and counsel to several industries. She is a powerful conference speaker, a published author and a tremendous motivator. She personally interviews each of the contributing consultants and does the corporate training so that there is a single voice from the firm – one of dedication to client and delivery of results. She is also currently seeking certification in Emergency Management in order to more effectively consult in this area with the other staff.

History
The Scott Consulting Firm began in Texas in the mid-nineties as a research and consulting firm to public school systems, healthcare organizations and state and local governments. Our initial work included survey research in the form of satisfaction surveys and government domestic violence prevention initiatives, and consulting services to quality improvement departments of managed care organizations and hospital systems. In 2002, we added grant writing, reviewing and evaluation to our portfolio and worked with non-profit organizations as part of our commitment to community. Over the past 10 years, the Scott Consulting Firm has evolved into a full service consulting firm able to provide straightforward Strategic Planning, complex Survey Research, Operational and Administrative Expertise to Healthcare Organizations and Healthcare Education and Training classes including Career Coaching.
In early 2007, certified emergency managers joined the ranks of our consultants and will provide a host of offerings for the Emergency Management Community. We believe their experience will provide a fresh eye on critical outreach communications and important command center operations as they relate to disaster preparation and management. Veterans of Hurricane Katrina response, their insights will be invaluable to the clients we serve.
Plans are also in the works to launch an entire division devoted to Electronic Communication and Electrical Engineering in 2009.
A proud member of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, we are always looking for new talent as well as new ways to serve the communities in which we live and work.
